WordPress Maintenance With Hosting Included: What It Is and What It Really Costs in 2026
Most WordPress maintenance companies do not include hosting. We checked the published plans of six providers: who bundles managed hosting, who sells it separately, and what that does to your real monthly cost.
| What it means | One monthly price covers both the managed WordPress host and the people who maintain, secure and support the site. |
|---|---|
| Who bundles it | Inspirable, from $49.99 per month on every plan, and SiteCare, from $435 per month. WP Buffs and FixRunner work on a host you buy separately; GoWP lists no hosting. |
| Why it matters | With a separate host you pay two vendors and each can point at the other when something breaks. One vendor means one bill and one phone number. |
| What to check | What the bundled host actually includes (backups, CDN, firewall, restores), and whether you can leave or keep your current host. |
| Inspirable's setup | Managed hosting on every plan, month-to-month. You can also keep your existing host if you prefer. |
Most WordPress maintenance plans do not include hosting. The company that updates, secures and backs up your site usually works on a host you pay for separately, so the real monthly cost is two bills from two vendors. A few providers bundle both into one plan. We checked each provider's published plans in October 2026 to see who does, and this guide explains what the difference means for price, accountability and what happens when something breaks. One disclosure first: Inspirable is one of the providers that bundles hosting, so we have a stake in the answer. Everything below about other companies comes from their own pricing and plan pages.
Do WordPress maintenance companies include hosting?
Do WordPress maintenance companies include hosting?
Do WordPress maintenance companies include hosting? Mostly not. WP Buffs states plainly that its care plans do not include hosting and that it works with any site wherever it is hosted, while noting it may not be able to reach speed and security goals on shared hosting. FixRunner works with your current host, offers optional hosting on some plans, and sells fully managed hosting as a separate product. GoWP's pricing page lists maintenance features and does not mention hosting. Elsner's plan pages do not say, and it sells hosting as its own service. SiteCare is the exception among the established names: its CoreSpeed hosting is part of both its Gold and Diamond plans, starting at $435 per month. Inspirable includes managed hosting in every plan, starting at $49.99 per month.
Why a separate host and a maintenance plan cost more than they look
A separate host plus a maintenance plan costs more than either price suggests. The maintenance plan is only the labor; the host is a second monthly charge, and decent managed WordPress hosting is not free. The two vendors also have different incentives. When a site goes down, the host says the server is fine and the maintenance company says the problem is at the host, and you are the one making both calls. A bundled plan has one party responsible for the whole stack, one invoice and one phone number. That is the practical reason to look for hosting included, and it matters most for organizations without an in-house technical person.
What good bundled hosting should include
Bundled hosting is only worth it if the hosting itself is good, so check what is actually in it. Look for managed WordPress infrastructure rather than a generic shared server, encrypted backups with a restore you can trigger, a firewall and DDoS protection, a CDN, SSL, uptime monitoring, and security patching at the server level. Ask where the data center is, what attestations it holds, and whether backups are stored away from the server they protect. Also ask about exit: whether you can move your site elsewhere and how, since a bundle should not become a lock-in.

Inspirable care plans start at $49.99/mo — no setup fee, no long-term contract, USA-based engineers.
When keeping your own host still makes sense
Keeping your own host still makes sense in a few cases: you have a negotiated enterprise hosting contract, a compliance rule that dictates where the site must live, or an architecture such as a headless setup that does not fit a standard WordPress host. In those cases a maintenance-only provider is the right shape, and a good one will say so. For everyone else, one vendor for host and maintenance is simpler and usually cheaper, as long as the bundled hosting meets the checklist above.
How Inspirable handles hosting
Inspirable includes fully managed WordPress hosting in every care plan: Starter at $49.99, Essential at $89.99, Professional at $159.99 and Institutional at $349.99 per month, month-to-month with no setup fee. The hosting runs on SOC 2 Type II infrastructure through our data center partner and includes encrypted backups every 5 hours with one-click restore, a firewall and DDoS protection, a CDN and SSL. Phone support at 844-455-2800 is included on every plan. If you would rather stay on your current host, we can maintain the site there instead.
