They relocate laboratories, including sensitive equipment and biological material. In September 2026 they became an Inspirable SEO client. Their website already existed, had a page for each city they serve, and ran a resources section. The question was why a company with real demand for its exact service was so hard to find in search.

We started with a full crawl and a review of Search Console.

We started with a full crawl and a review of Search Console. The site was being crawled and shown for the right searches, such as "laboratory movers" and "lab movers", but almost nothing ranked on the first pages, even for the company's own name. That pattern usually points to a domain that few other sites reference, not to a problem with the pages themselves.

The audit also found normal technical gaps. Headings on the main service and city pages were hidden from view and too generic, several city pages competed with near-duplicate articles in the resources section, a few pages had no internal links pointing to them, and the schema markup described every page as a generic article instead of a local business or a service.

The client had been considering a redesign. Our recommendation was to hold off, because a new design would not change how search engines judge the domain. We ordered the work like this: first, earn relevant links from lab, biotech and moving-industry sources; second, build local search strength around the Boston and Cambridge market, where most of their customers are; third, fix the heading, linking and schema issues on the existing pages.

This case study describes the starting point and the plan, not final results. Search rankings for a new, low-authority domain take months to move, and we will not publish numbers until they are real. If your own site has strong content but weak visibility, the same diagnosis may apply, and our SEO and marketing page explains how we work.
